Definitely EPM doing some thing to the images. There’s a folder call “formatted”. Has a bunch of images in there that are the ones I’ve uploaded but modified.
I uploaded the original PNG, the 3000x3000 FreePBX logo file. EPM took the file, shrunk it down to 200x200 and changed it to JPG. That’s why the transparencies get dropped.
So I took the original PNG w/ Transparency, formatted it to 200x200 and kept the transpancy, Saved it as a PNG format, renamed it to what the phone is expcting (bg-digium-D65-FreePBX_Logo_200X200.jpg), copied that to the location on the server, factory reset the phone to force it to get the new image file.
It looks perfect now:
So the EPM, something needs to be fixed there. IMO.
But when you uploaded the logo file using the web-gui of the phone, wasn’t the image edited too (wrong size, transparency)? So, isn’t it a firmware issue?
Great strategy, congrats!
I’m getting mixed up what I have and have not tried already! I believe when I uploaded it directly to the phone it did the image correctly. I will double check just to be sure.
I do remember when uploading to the phone I had to make sure the file size and the image size were within specs.
