I am trying to customize the message sent by Voicemail Admin, I want to use french characters however I get weird characters instead. For example, téléphone shows up as téléphone. How should I proceed?
This email is sent through asterisk by asterisk and asterisk is notorious for not dealing with UTF-8 correctly
is the UTF-8 encoded version of téléphone passed though iconv, Asterisk sends the email in “plain text” (ascii) you might need to write a filter for your mail server to convert those emails to a mime encoded version as the data is there correctly.
