Custom Audio Files

Hi

Is there a list of audio files that are required for the FreePBX system? I am looking at getting the prompts recorded to match our companies used voice talent.

Within the en folder, there are two files that contain a list of the audio prompts; however I would like a list of prompts that are actually used; as there are prompts in there such as ’ to hear a toilet flush, press’ - which I assume isn’t really required

Also, in the root of the sounds folder, there is a selection of files, what is the purpose of these; are they actually used - I thought everything that was required was located within the en folder?

These files are:

cdir-matching-entries-continue
cdir-matching-entries-or-pound
cdir-please-enter-first-three
cdir-sorry-no-entries
cdir-there-are
cdir-transferring-further-assistance
cdir-welcome
dictation-being-processed
dictation-being-processed
dictation-sent
dictation-sent
dir-intro-fn-oper
dir-intro-fnln-oper
dir-intro-fnln
dir-intro-oper
enter-filename-short
intercom
pbdirectory-first-three-letters-entry

Lastly, whats the recommended file format, I had previously used SLN files?

Thanks
David

There is a description on sound files

It is old but still pretty well solid.

If you look closer at the ones in the root directory, they are symlinks into the FreePBX structure for FreePBX specific function.

.wav will never let you down e.g.

file /var/www/html/admin/modules/directory/sounds/cdir-there-are.wav

/var/www/html/admin/modules/directory/sounds/cdir-there-are.wav: RIFF (little-endian) data, WAVE audio, Microsoft PCM, 16 bit, mono 8000 Hz
