Good point. I would love for there to be a module filled with root level commands you could run from the GUI. fwconsole ma upgradeall for example is superior to trying to run module updates from the gui where dependencies aren’t figured in. fwconsole chown is great when apply configs won’t take. Why not create a module full of root level commands that can be processed using a simple button.
FreePBX does that by elevating privileges using the incron process
exactly the same warnings apply as to sudo , unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing it DON’T even think of doing it.
If you have a legitimate use case ask Sangoma to implement it.
