Hi All,
We’ve been experiencing problems with our phone lines for quite some time now and it’s driving me insane. Either the lines are crackly or the other person can’t hear us or the line gets cut off after a few minutes. Our SIP provider says there’s nothing wrong at his end, our ISP are useless and want us to port some of our numbers across to them so they can troubleshoot!!! In the meantime, I’m left with a really frustrated sales floor and my knowledge of VOIP/Elastix/FreePBX/Asterisk is not very extensive. I don’t think there’s a problem with our phone server - the guy who built it has had a look and says everything is ‘as it should be’. We had downtime recently in which no calls could be made at all, for a whole day. The next day it just worked!!! Without us doing anything to resolve it. Today we’re having the crackly lines and phones cutting out problem. Here is a few lines from the FreePBX log (/var/log/asterisk/full - last 500 lines) at the time we were having problems. I’m really hoping that someone here will be able to help me understand what’s happening and how I might be able to rectify it. Or, if the problem lies with my SIP provider, how to convince them that the problem lies with them. They say their service is working fine and none of their other customers are complaining.
