Confirm calls on Follow me to external numbers

Hello.
Firstly, well done to all the developers who have helped to put together such a great system

My comment is this;
I need to setup a ‘follow me’ extension which will ring numbers in turn (NOT ring all!), however I also need to confirm these calls such that the system will continue to work it’s way down the list of external numbers until the other end confirms it is ‘human’ by pressing 1!

However, ‘Confirm Calls’ only works for ‘ringall’ and ringall-prim !!!

in the “follow me” change the ring strategy from “ring all” to “hunt”

You cannot select Confirm Calls, with hunt selected!!! :frowning:

Thanks for the reply

That isn’t an option when the “Confirm Calls” option is enabled. I also
have a similar requirement, but have not been able to work out exactly
how to achieve this yet. Confirm Calls works fine when you you set the
ring strategy to “ring all”, but if you attempt to select “hunt”, you
end up with a an error - “You must choose ringall or ringall-prim ring
strategy when using Confirm Calls”.

Before I venture down the path of stringing together multiple ring
groups (which will be a horribly bloated way of doing the job) I’d love
to know if any work is likely to happen to allow a hunt ring group to
require confirmation before the call is considered connected.

Was this ever resolved? I have a similar requirement and its not quite working for me. Checking the ‘confirm’ box seems to turn on ‘ringall’ even when you specifically say hunt.

yup,
at this point ringall and ringall-prim are the only two supported ring types when using confirm (and their variants rinallv2 in 2.3). If someone wants to port other ringstrategies and do some testing, I’ll be glad to look at them and add them in once confirmed working.

I’d happily give this a whirl if someone would give me a couple of starting clues

it’s a combination of macro-dial and dialparties.agi that interact together to make all the ringgroups work. Oh - as well as macro-dial-confirm, macro-auto-confirm, ext-local-confirm and macro-confirm. And then what ever else I left off - plus some minor dialplan work that gets auto-generated as I recall but its to early for me to think any harder.

has any progress been made on this? I am willing to take a stab at developing this solution but I really need some more guidance then what was listed here. Thank you.
