Configuring Zoiper

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I can’t work out how to get Zoiper working with FPBX. I’m struggling on the basics.

I’ve setup an extension as a generic SIP device, but I can’t get Zoiper to even get through the account setup page. The extension I setup is 9222 and this is what I’m putting in the username in Zoiper. In the password I have the value from the secret box for the extension, and in the domain I have the name of the FPBX server.

I’ve tried setting the extension up as both SIP and IAX but neither get further than the setup trying to autoconnect.

What am I missing? Any help would be appreciated.

Try:
Username extension
Password: secret
Domain: IP

Also if you are running fail2ban make sure your previous attempts to setup didn’t ban you.

iptables -L

Perfect! Thank you James. I never thought to try the IP rather than the DNS name.
