I am attempting to copy a config file from a current operating Freepbx device (non-Sangoma). The original Sangoma device was sent in for RMA after a failure following approximately 4 months of use. I was under the assumption that copying the config file to a flash drive would enable me copying it to the replaced Sangoma device. That doesn’t work, as we continue to get error msgs when copying. Placing the two devices on the same network simultaneously is not an option at this time but maybe possible in the near future. What media, storage device, or procedure can be used to copy successfully the config files from one machine to another?
You cant just transfer config files. You need to use the backup and restore module. Do a backup on the old box and restore it on the new box but they both need to be running the same major version.
