Is there a way to have a remote centralized CNAM cache database? I’d like
all of our PBX servers to share in the cache.
CallerID Superfecta is the gateway to a solution. There are lots of different ways that you can configure a central database to do this. It may require a little configuration on your part, since we wouldn’t know the particulars of your situation.
Thank you Dave. I guess I’m just looking to see if we can have one CallerID Superfecta and share the CNAM information across all of our PBXs. Also, we’re trying to stop paying for dips from calls going from e.g., PBX1 to PBX2.
There are two Superfecta modules, SF Database can do queries on a remote SQL host, and Regular Expression can be used to do http(s) lookups to a remote host. If you’re maintaining an external database, you could use one of those to get your CNAM.
