I am trying to find a way to add a click to call widget on my site, so people without a phone can call. I have looked around and am unable to find one that can do this that is free.
In other words, you want to put a free phone on the internet?

I don’t see how thousands of people couldn’t abuse this, generating thousands of dollars worth of calls in the first few minutes. I’m sure it will be fine.

There is no problem, from a programming perspective, with doing this. The problem is monetary - if you don’t control access to the page (and the underlying click-to-call interface) you can easily end up being “the switchboard for the cartels” or some other, similarly undesirable outcome.

I mean adding a widget to initiate with an IVR therefore calls stay internal and never go outbound.
IIRC, there’s a commercial module that does that.
Google is your friend here - there are a ton of CTC web page components out there.
