Cisco Phone Expert Wanted

Looking for help with Cisco phone customization, 7942 & 7962, on the auto-answer issue. I want the phone to auto-answer only internal calls, not all calls. If interested please send a private message.

Thanks

KJN

I would not waste your money. The phones don’t respond to the SIP auto answer header. If you have discovered something share it with the community, somebody may finish the work for you.

Those phones do support auto answer with chan_sccp2 using sccp protocol.

SkykingOH, I saw your posts on the Trixbox forum. I need help getting a few 7942s to register to my system. Already bricked one. Think I pulled the plug during an update. Arg.

I saw that you offer your Cisco services. I am at [email protected] if you can help.

I’ve successfully loaded SIP42.8-3-3SR2S on a new 7942. In my /tftpboot/ on a FreePBX 2.10 I have the following:
rw-r–r-- 1 root root 2496963 Nov 5 2007 apps42.8-3-3ES2.sbn
-rw-r–r-- 1 root root 585562 Nov 5 2007 cnu42.8-3-3ES2.sbn

-rw-r–r-- 1 root root 1110 Jun 16 11:52 XMLDefault.cnf.xml

In the loads section of my mac.cnf.xml I tell it to take SIP42.8-3-3SR2S (contents pasted below)

A tail of my tftp gives me this. I just stops at the dialplan. The phone does not attempt to register to my PBX. A rasterisk shows no hit.

Please do not hijack a thread that was about auto answer asking for help on getting your phones to register. It is not nice and will just piss the people off who do help out here and will cause your request to be ignored.
