Cisco password

I’m new to FreePbx, I use a hosted version.
I have a Cisco 303 phone.

the other day I hit the redial button and it asked for a password, where did that come from?
I can’t login the the 303 via the web browser anymore either, that also used to work.

Anyone have any help?

Did you set up the phone with the Commercial End Point Manager?

No

Then you need to reset to factory defaults. Somehow you set a user password and have the option checked to require password for phone features.

resetting to factory default worked, lets see if it does it again.
