Cisco 7940 Activation problem

Hi Team

After configuration of free PBX. i have connected Cisco 7940 i am able to get the extension but that is not active. means i am not able to dial any one nore recieving any call from other extension. Soft phne is working fine.

Please help me .


You’ve not provided enough details to really help. Cisco Phones are normally configured for the SCCP protocol by default.

  1. either configure asterisk for SCCP
  2. reconfigure the phone for SIP

check for all the fun details on how to set either one up and/or convert the phone from one protocol to the other.

Be sure the nat=0 in the phone setup and in the extension setup in FreePbx.
