Changing IP on AsteriskNOW with FreePBX installed

I downloaded the latest stable version of AsteriskNOW and installed with FreePBX.

I want to change the IP address on AsteriskNOW and also make it static. How can I do this?

Ok I found a way to change the IP to static but as soon as I change the IP and make it static Asterisk stops connecting to the outside world.

To change the IP I go to setup from the shell log in as root.

When I change it back to letting the DHCP assign the address the connection to the outside world works fine.

Any ideas why?
