Changes do not apply

OK

So I have wasted the whole day today trying to figure this out…

The problem is the following … after installing 2.1.3 -> everything seemed ok… except everytime I make modifications (like add new extensions) - the apply changes button does not actually write to the extensions_additional.conf file… I have chmod and chown everything, and mysql database updates accordingly.

Please help!!!

Alex

NO you should not have to run it by hand That is what the red bar does when it works.
We wwhere just testing the DB and checking to see if it it did pull the data out, which I take it did.

OK so your just have a small issue with the modules
go in and remove every module you not using reboot and input some data
(create exten) did it work??? if so then only add what NEED

If it did not work start removing the other modules until you find the cause

This is what I get back:

Checking for PEAR DB…OK
Checking for PEAR Console::Getopt…OK
Checking for /etc/amportal.conf…OK
Reading /etc/amportal.conf…OK
Reading /etc/asterisk/asterisk.conf…OK
Connecting to database…OK
Connecting to Asterisk manager interface…OK
Please Reload Asterisk by visiting http://XXX.XX.XX.XX/admin

did it updated the conf files???

u r clicking the red bar right???

so you are saying every time i want to make changes, i should be running that script… correct? as well as clicking on the red button…

correct?

thanks
alex

YES
the CID is a real killer, I have never seen it work (well maybe the first time it is setup but it is downhill from there

run this…What happens…

/var/lib/asterisk/bin/retrieve_conf

If you have added any additional modules try disabling them then apply your changes.

I found this worked for me when I had the Phonebook and CLIlookup modules installed.
