Despite having asterisk@ and asterisk in my generic file and mail -s working just fine as root… when the system update service cron job runs with --sendemail attribute it sends as “[email protected]” and does not respect the values i’ve set in /etc/postfix/generic. Therefore, since that from address is going to 365 and differs from my SMTP AUTH username it does not work. How is the from address decided here and how might I correct it? Thank you!
