Change default user agent

Hi all,

I want to discuss the change of the default useragent string.
This string is signaled by the Asterisk in the SIP communication.
As the current default string is including the Asterisk and the FreePBX version:

FPBX-12.0.18(11.14.2)

The attacker know instantly how to attack the system in case of a know security issue with this FreePBX or Asterisk version.

That is why I think this should be change to another string per default.

I highly suggest not doing so. Lots of SIP providers use that to know how to handle things such as DTMF bugs or changes in Asterisk. Eitherway its not something we advise or provide help on changing.

You can change useragent value in this file - /etc/asterisk/sip_general_additional.conf

And then restart asterisk.
