Change default settings for permit/deny in device options

Default settings for permit/deny in device options are 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0.
I would like to change default to something else.
Where do I do this?
I know these settings are in /var/www/html/admin/modules/core/functions.inc.php under $tmparr[‘permit’]. I assume if I changed that I would get “tampered file” warnings. Any place to change this in FreePBX?

Thanks.

Hi,

Just change it the advanced settings module. Find the section that defines the creation of new extensions and set that fields to whatever you want.

Are you sure this can be set in “Advanced Settings”?
Can’t find it there.

Hi,

Yes. Do you want me to show you? just open a temaviwer or ammyadmin for me.

Thanks.
Could you post a screenshot, would that work?

Hi,

I am sorry my friend, but for some reason i have confused by the allow/disallow fields in the advanced settings module.

However, I have a suggestion for you that will help you fix your problem without too much hassle. You can use the bulk extensions module to export all of your extensions. import the CSV file to an Excel sheet (Data–> from text wizard) and fix the permit/deny fields.

One tip for the importing data to the Excel:
in the import data wizard, make sure that all the fields are text and not general to avoid mistakes in the importing process.

I use this process all the time when I am configuring a new PBX. I am creating a single extension with the settings that I want and then after exporting it, I am creating all the other extensions very quickly.

That is a possibility.
Changing defaults is still preferable in my case. I guess I will open a feature request.

Again, thanks for your suggestions.

Hi,

Yes, it is a good idea to open a feature request.
