Can't get my new Polycom Trio 8500 to register with FreePbx 13.0.195.19

I have a new Polycom Trio 8500 that won’t register with my FreePbx 13.0.195.19 system. I’m getting this DNS error: DNS lookup failed for sip:proxy@myvoipserversipaddress:5060. I do have an A record in DNS that points to my voip server. This info is read from the Line category under Outbound Proxy in the Trio Web Configuration. I do also have the extension number, domain name and the secret password listed under the Authentication Tab. I’m using SIP, not H.323. The phone does have a valid IP address from the phone Vlan. Can anyone shine some light on this?

/var/log/asterisk/full should have the information on why the registration is failing.

After that, you need to turn on SIP debugging to get further if that doesn’t get you where you need to go.
