Can't call area code 605 using Google Voice/Motif

My GV system works perfectly except for this. Unfortunately this is the number that has been assigned to me by my conference calling system.

I’m trying to dial (605)475-5950

here is some of the log from Asterisk

What happens is that I dial the number and get a voice recording (female) that says “we could not complete your call, please try again”

It seems that I can’t call anything in area code 605

suggestions?

That is because Google voice is blocking that call as it’s a high rate center call.

Rumor has it that it will stop working next month anyway.

Possibly, 867 292 3030 (another access number of the same company and free on GV) will allow entry of the same meeting ID.

Various trunking providers offer +1 605 475 at $0.004/min. or less.

If you have any say about the conference provider, I recommend trying https://www.freeconferencecallhd.com/ . Although the business model is the same (they get a share of termination charges in a rural rate center), they offer SIP access, including wideband. Create an extension and change the Dial parameter to
SIP/[email protected]
where 7127704160 is your access number and 123456 is the host (or participant) code for your meetings. This is free and much better quality than a PSTN connection.
