Cannot seem to get UPS battery backup to communicate

Good morning. I am having trouble setting up my UPS battery backup with Freepbx. It is plugged into the USB port of my QNAP NAS device. It has a nice feature where it will act as a network notifier about the UPS status, since the UPS is limited to one USB port. Here is a screenshot of the QNAP admin page:

I’ve tried to setup the Freepbx system admin module (the UPS setting section). However I cannot seem to get it to work. Here is a screenshot of my Freepbx settings with the intention of having it communicate with the QNAP device:

Is it a case of differing protocols? Would it be too much to ask, as a paying customer, to implement QNAP’s protocol? They are a major manufacturer and this is a great feature they provide.
