Cannot make outgoing calls on T1

I did a maunal install of FreePBX and Asterisk 1.6.0.6, I have the internal dial plan working no problem but with incoming calls I get a busy signal and when I call out I get dead air for about 20 sec and then it hangs up on me. Any suggestions please???

check your general setting try disabling the Fax option and then test it again.

drumman,

Something is wrong as asterisk is only seeing 23 of your 46 channels. Please review the dadhi settings (/etc/asterisk/dadhi*) and make sure that both PRI blocks are configured/defined properly. Are they both in the same group and declared with proper channel commands?

These lines should be present
group = ? Where ? will be your grouping number possibly 1
channel => 1-23
channel => 25-47

if the setting is ok, make sure the pri is up and active.

Are you seeing alarms on either of your PRI’s
