Can you recommend a new server?

I’m a enthusiast that enjoys playing with technology. VIOP being one I adopted about seven years ago. (Trixbox) It’s not for business, save I use it for my home office but for my convenience and fun. Now with the need to reinstall in order to maintain upgrading I’d like to move from my older Dell (16 bit architecture) to something more current, 64 bit, with a bit of horsepower. I use a Sangoma A200 analog card so that would be the only hardware I would be moving over.

I’ve looked at a lot of gear but considering the wide variety and possible incompatibilities I’d like your recommendations. It could be either a desktop or rack form factor. New, rebuilt, or recent used. 64 bit with good performance to support a dozen phones and occasional multiline conference bridges. I can’t say I have an unlimited budget (grin) but it doesn’t need to be dirt cheap.

Thanks in advance and I appreciate your suggestions!

Fred

This is a wonderful 1U rackmount. Low power consumption.

I had forgotten that it is available with the Distro.

Yes, on the Classic also get Raid 1 which I wish I had on servers I put in a few years ago.
