Currently, Call Recording Reports states that “Only three months of archives are stored in the system. As archives are created, the oldest archive is deleted.”
It’s probably possible hack the code for the module, but is it possible for you to simply include a field that sets how many months of archives I want to keep? In fact, for legal purposes, I don’t want any call recording archives deleted, just moved to another directory perhaps.
What is the reasoning behind only allowing three months of archives?
I dont know if 3 months is arbitrary or has some reasonong. It is likely that was an derived from some place with regular to heavy usage and average hard disk space. I have seen places that cycle weekly or monthly because of higher volumes. Feel free to put in a feature request at http://issues.freepbx.org so we can look at making this settable.
