I have two systems connected over the Internet via an IAX trunk. Calling between the sites works great. I know you can get BLF hints across using a PHP script, but was wondering if it would be possible to keep calls going out the internet while somehow simultaneously connecting the systems over the VPN, solely for BLF sake.
Nope the phone uses the account registration information on where to subscribe to for hints on most phones.
Maybe you could do something connecting to the database (I cannot recall if the hints are stored there). Lots of custom development, but might be possible.
