Calls hang up. Not routing to extensions

Greetings

I´m having a trouble on configuring my inbound route to route calls to extensions.
The call reach the pbx but it automaticaly hungs up.

System:
Fresh install of FreePBXDistro.

Trunk:
PEER
Outgoing settings:

type=friend&peer
secret=xxxx
username=limite100
host=iptel.org
disallow=all
allow=ulaw&alaw
fromuser=limite100
fromdomain=iptel.org
canreinvite=no
insecure=invite,port
qualify=yes
nat=no
context=from-trunk

USER

context:from-trunk
Incoming Settings:
username=limite100
type=user
secret=xxxx
nat=no
insecure=invite,port
host=iptel.org
context=from-trunk
fromdomain=iptel.org

Register String: limite100:[email protected]:5060/limite100

I have requested assistance to the sonatel support and they have concluded that the problem is nbot on their end.
It is probably on my dialplan since the settings are correct.

Here is a log of my most up-to-date call tries.

i still cant make any inbound calls,

if possible i would like help

here ies the log of today’s tries.

Hmm, I’m not an expert at all,
but most call’s are comming from “unknown”.
Have you configured to allow anonymous calls in the SIP configuration?

Greetings,
Arnout

No i haven´t, wouldn´t thao option compromise the security of my pbx ?

Thanks

Best Regards

Ricardo

those calls were not made by me, the phone just started ringing.

Hmm,

Looking at the logs, it seems the same as I am experiencing at the moment.
I need to allow anonymous calls, and yes, it has some security risks.

In this case, as far as I know (Like I said, I’m not an expert, more a self trained rookie) these are incoming calls trying to mimic an extension to find out which extentions are activa, and so: able to be hacked. eg they find out: extention 10 is used, so then they can try a brute force attack on extention 10… (But maybe I am totally wrong and seeing ghosts here).
Anyway, there are many security guides out there. Something that can help agains a brute force attack is fail2ban . On the other hand a good firewall is als something you need.

Anyway, when you set the server to allow anonymous calls, was your initial problem solved then?

Greetings,
Arnout

Unfortunayly it wasn´t i got calls from someone else, but when i call it goes straigt to the hang up tone.

Thanks

Hmm, since it does go through when someone else makes a call, but not when you make one, maybe it’s a codec issue?
Are you trying to call in using a softphone or a regular phone?
And how did the other person try to get in?

Like I said, not an expert here, just thinking aloud and thinking about what i did when i had your problems.

Nice evening,
Arnout
