Caller ID from queue


I’m in the process of rebuilding my current PBX system. On the old system, when someone called in and chose the options for sales, and then business sales, it should up with “Sales” and then the phone number, on the employee’s phone who is in the Sales ring group and was set to receive those calls.

I checked the Set CallerID module on the old system, but it looks like that was never set up, so I’m not sure how it’s working like that on the old system. Any suggestions?

Both Queues and Ring Groups have a CID Name Prefix option. Have you checked there?

If that’s not your issue, please describe the call flow in more detail. If an IVR selection routes directly to a Ring Group, there is no Queue involved.
