Call monitor audio streams out of sync

Hi Guys,

I know this has been posted twice before and I have also posted on these threads respectively but have yet to recieve a reply.

Can anyone help as our recorded phone calls are always out of sync, on short brief calls its not too sad but on longer durations its unreal, you can hardly make how the conversation as both parties appear to be talking over one another.

The machine is:-
Asterisk (Ver. 1.4.21.2)
FreePBX 2.6.0.0
PBX-in-a-flash deployed and all sources updated etc regularly!
CentOS 5.3 (Final)
Kernel Vers 2.6.18-164.el5 (SMP)
AMD Sempron 2800+ (1.61 Ghz (256KB Cache))
Could be something codecs used?

I have been googling again on this and a few people using different Asterisk front ends seem to indicate the issue relates to “monitor” being used instead of “mixmonitor”.

The first apparently uses a heavy CPU load by recording both streams seperately the muxing them together, whereas the latter mixes both streams without much load.

Can anyone give me any advice on what I should be looking to do to solve this one?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

bump!

Anyone this is getting so frustrating now?!

Please help!
