Call Forwarding keeps enabling by itself on one extension

There is not even an extension connected, but call forwarding keeps getting enabled without a phone number even entered. When there is a call to the extension, there is a delay then an announcement played “I’m sorry, an error has occurred with call forwarding.”

This only occurs when an extension is not connected. For whatever reason, there is no extension connected, but if I connect one, it will instead then ring the extension. I have tried doing *73, but that does nothing. Also FIndMe/FollowMe is disabled.

Any ideas?

Thanks for responding. The logs really don’t show anything else I would have spotted it. However, I did more testing, and the extension will not even answer to voicemail. I think I am just going to have to rebuild the extension.
