Call Confirm on an Extension

Is there a way to jerryrig the system and turn call confirm on for an extension? I know this is possible with FMFM, but am looking for a way to do it on the extension level.

Change the extension number to something the users don’t know.
Set up a Ring Group with the original extension number that rings only the one extension.
Turn on Confirm Calls for the Ring Group.
Set CID Num Alias for the extension to the original extension number.

I might try to do something like that, a patterned inbound route, goes to the single dynamic ring group that ultimately calls the extension with call confirm on.
