I think from what I see recurring events formatted in a certain way make the code hang
Would it be hanging in the new methods that were added that employ the goto loop?
You can find the exact line in the first post, and no, it is not caused by the goto loop

I was able to reproduce the bug, I will submit a PR (changing the very hated goto statement too) in the next days!

Do we have an update on this? I have a client that uses a google calendar for their scheduling and 16.0.28 kills it as well as maxes out the cpu. It’s been a few months and thought this would be fixed by now. Update–Just upgraded to the edge version and that looks to have fixed it.
