Blind transfer external call to internal no audio / pause

when an external comes in via IVR to my phone and i blind transfer to another number there is no audio, ie: the external caller can be heard but they cannot hear us. after a pause of around 20 seconds the caller is able to hear us generally, tho sometimes the call is dropped all together
