Blind Transfer Drops, regular transfer works

New to FreePBX and asterisk!!

If someone calls and I transfer it to an extension it works. But if I blind-transfer the call drops. The extension is not tied to any phone, and it just has a time condition (to go to a queue, or hangup).

Any help would be appreciated.

You can first help by giving some more information as to distro and versions of Asterisk and FreePBX that you deployed.

There are some buggy versions of Asterisk that exhibit this behavior.

FreePBX 2.10.0.7

If I blind transfer to an extension that is a phone, it works. This extension is just a “Check-Requeue” extension. I wonder if it never works for such?

You did not say which distribution you installed from ,but asterisk 1.8.9.3 is from February of this year and, I believe, is prior to that bug-fix from Digium. The latest version is 1.8.15.0 and 1.8.15.0 does not suffer so, but different distributions use differnet methods of updating, some are more up to date than others. You can allways build it from source though.

It is the asterisk that comes with FreePBX distro, 2.10.0.7
