Best place/technique to setup auto dial out and play message

Hi All,

Before I go ahead and create some custom contexts etc. I was wondering if there is anything in FreePBX I can utilise to do:

We’ve got a system to replace (PC with 2 modems that dials a bank of numbers to deliver a message) and we’d like the numbers to call to be in Asterisk and we can use the message recorded via the System Recordings module.

Should we just write a AGI for this or is there some other way that’s nicer?

Take a look at some of the code written by Ward Mundy over at Nerdvittles.com. Once of them that comes to mind is the wakeup call routine.
