Best Asterisk version for FreePBX V14?

I’m having some odd audio issues on a system running FreePBX V14 distro with Asterisk 13.38.3 and am thinking of updating Asterisk to see if that helps. Is there a recommended version to switch to?

FreePBX v14 is EOL. Asterisk 13 is long EOL. I’m not sure if you can update to Asterisk 20 on FreePBX v14, so I’d update to Asterisk 18.

Asterisk 18 is current and stable.
