Question relating to this process, since all upgrades I do are fresh installs (bad experience with B/R years ago), but I was looking at seeing how effective it is now days, I see “Full” backup includes /var/www/html
My question is some of these files are years old, how does “restore” handle those older files? which no doubt have been updated for whatever reason since, so should html directory be excluded from backup/restore?
The backup/restore process changed significantly starting in 15 in order to support restores from earlier legacy versions. The web files included in a legacy backup tarball would be mostly ignored if restored on a current system.
