Backup module: Traffic on specific NIC?

Version: freepbx-2.10.0beta2

Setup: 3 X Gigabit NIC each dedicated to different traffic on a HP Proliant server. Each on a separate VLAN.

NIC1: SIP
NIC2: TMDoE
NIC3: Heartbeat and Backup traffic (Direct connection with crossover cabling)

Question:

I wish to separate network traffic in order to improve efficiency and speed on my PBX. Would it be possible to send/receive the backup data only over NIC3 using the new FreePBX backup module? Which config file to modify and how?

I don’t think this is a FreePBX config issue as much as it is a networking question. If the host you are backing up to is accessible via NIC3 and the routing is in place the traffic will flow over NIC 3.

OK. I was hoping I could bind the service to a specific NIC. Alan, could you provide me with an example of what would work (as far as routing is concerned)?
