Auto provisioning under FreePBX environment

Hi All,

I have some Polycom VVX series of IP phones like VVX201 400 401 250…etc.

To provisioning the SIP server , requiring insert the server & extension info to the desk phone maunally.

Except of inserting manually and the licesned EndPoint Manager , is there anyway to place the configure file and register the extension automatically?

I originally repurposed all of our Polycom phones used with another cloud SIP PBX provider. Moving them to FreePBX. If you read the Polycom docs, you can see where you can define your own provisioning server, and stick the phone config files on it. Of course you would have to host and maintain that resource to a degree. There are example config file templates for the various Polycom models. We had a mix of older SoundPoint IP and VVX desk phones, and they all worked like a champ.

Here is a start when it comes to documentation → https://h30434.www3.hp.com/psg/attachments/psg/Desk_IP_Conference_Phones/8840/1/UC%20Software%20Provisioning%20Guide_August_2019_3725-49128-001A.pdf. There are sample files you can also download to use as templates for the desk phones. Hope this helps!
