Asterisk-version-switch -> FAILS

Hi, to try webrtc asterisk 11 is required. Decided to try it out. Ran #asterisk-version-switch press 3 for 11:

asterisk11 has now been verified to be installed

I had this happen the other day going the other way, from 11 back down to 1.8 for a conversion. I gave up and ended up using yum. Didn’t do any troubleshooting.

Might have been chan_dahdi related, there was nothing in full or system messages.

Just note in the packages the asterisk version is prepended to all the names.

Seems something is causing Asterisk to Core Dump.

What do you full logs show?
What does the output of rpm -qa | grep asterisk show?
Do all the modules for Asterisk show the same date and time? You can see them in /usr/lib64/asterisk/modules/ or /usr/lib/asterisk/modules/ for 32bit machines.

After it would not start, I ran asterisk-switch-version and put it back to 1.8. Below is output of grep after running asterisk-switch-version and choosing 3 for 11.

After reinstalling 1.8, see Reload failed because retrieve_conf encountered an error: 1 in GUI.

/etc/asterisk/manager.conf has SAME passwd as Advanced settings [manager] section.

Looks like you have res_fax_digium installed. Uninstall that module. That is not something we install or provide by default and its compiled for your specific version of asterisk being 1.8
