Hi -

I finally got back to FreePBX and got everything installed & working. I’m very impressed!

One quick thing though, I notice that FreePBX reloads Asterisk after configuration changes are done. I also understand that the “Asterisk RealTime Architecture” supports making changes in real tim with no reload required.

I’m certain that you know all about ARA, so I’m curious whether there’s a reason it’s not being used.

I have wondered for ages why FreePBX doesn’t use ARA especially as it operates quicker than text files.

With the growing complexity of the dialplan processing steps I would think ARA improves system performance.
