I have some ideas and some solutions . . .
Any legal type units who care to share what can and can’t be done, and any users with experience as to what can and can’t be expected?
Say we had a script that would add all your DID’s automatically to the Do Not Call registry, then later query your status, remove yourself, or most intriguingly, file a complaint against a caller if you had already registered 30 days prior…
Maybe *30 could be augmented, maybe this is all under *33
If you are asking what I think you are, then I have done that years ago. In fact, that’s the reason I setup Asterisk in the first place. My code takes incoming calls, checks them against an online database for complaints, then lets them through. Telemarketers get to talk to the 'bot. He rambles on with them, some have argued with him for 15 minutes! Then the call gets transcoded into mp3 and emailed to me at work for all of us to enjoy.
In 5 years I have not had ONE SINGLE telemarketer get through.
Exactly what are you trying to do?
You mention the do-not-call list. This is for saps. The gov doesn’t do anything with that data. You are kidding yourself if you “report” people to them. I punish telemarketers.
