Anti-virus and FreePBX distro

Hi all,

We are already doing a daily anti-virus scan with “clamav”… but I am curious what you guys are doing to prevent malware / rootkits.
Are you running clamav as a service? Can this have a negative impact on calls?
What other packages are you using?

Can’t comment on the particular tool you mentioned.

If it eats the machine’s resources, then yes. Same if it’s inspecting the SIP and RTP packets.
