Announcement Delay

I have a customer that has their incoming calls routed to an announcement. The recording has about a half second of dead air before the voice starts, but the caller experiences around 10 seconds of silence before the recording begins. Is there a way to shorten the start time for the recording? I do not see any settings for changing this, but I admit that I am new to this system so I may be overlooking a setting somewhere.

Check the logs and see if there’s a processing lag between when the call starts and the announcement fires. It could be something in the way your call flow is set up or some other similar issue.

It’s also possible you have customers like mine - a 2-second pause becomes “20 minutes” by the time their boss gets the trouble ticket to me.
