you can use amportal restart , the script does do a stop before a start.
But if you are not big on FOP or are using ZAP hardware that might need
modprobing then u can actually use the asterisk command line interface CLI
and do “restart now” “restart when convenient” right from within asterisk.
Cool thing is that you can now access the CLI from within the Freepbx admin
interface. look under “tools” and you see asterisk CLI so you can control
your app right from there

Hi,
It seems I keep getting my self in to trouble (need to completely
restart server after a few uses) when I use ‘amportal restart’, should I
be using ‘amportal stop’ followed by ‘amportal start’ or does it matter.
