[Amportal-users] Huntgroups - RollOver

Hi,

Question. I have for the purpose of failover, have service from multiple
VoIP Providers. From some I have 1 lines, from others I have 2 or three
lines. My quesiton is. Is there a way I can create a huntgroup where call
is rolled over to the second number if all lines are used from provider 1.
Following is an illustration.

Provider One (2 Lines)
212-222-1111
212-222-1112

Provider Two (1 Line)
512-555-1211

Proider Three (2 Line)
712-222-1111
712-222-1112

If three people call the number 212-222-1111. it will allocate two lines
and I want the third line to roll over to my second provider and so on. Is
this even possible? I know outgoing calls I have no problem.

Wasif,

What you’re looking for your provider must implement for you. You can’t make your Asterisk do this for you. The easiest way is if you have a call-forward-on-busy feature from your provider. In this case, have them implement it for the line on provider two. Have provider two implement the same with your number from provider three. Then, if someone hits your line with provider 1 and it’s busy, your provider forwards the call to provider two. If that’s busy, provider two forwards the call to provider three. If both of provider two lines are busy, the caller will get a busy signal.
