[Amportal-users] HOLY HELL - STOP THE SPAM

It’s been getting worse and worse by the day. Doesn’t anyone on this list
have access to modify the list attributes for this mail list? For now there
should be no new ppl allowed to signup on the list untill someone can clean
up the list and kick all the bad users off.

I"m starting to get more spam than regular posts and its gettting old.
Either something needs to be done about it or sourceforge will get a nice
notice and will be forced to shut down this list because it’s now an active
spambot proxy instead of a support list

Fair enough, my reply was equally harsh.

The person you need to talk with now is Roger Workman. Rob has given Roger admin, and Rogers is currently a very busy guy tightenting security, removing spam accounts and locking everything down. I will e-mail you Roger’s info off-list.

That’s a terrible attitude to have. Don’t offer to help with the problem or anything, just complain that you don’t feel the moderators are doing their jobs, and then threaten to leave this free service that you benefit from. Yeah, that will definitely help resolve the issue.

If you don’t like the state of things, then work to change them.

I agree… I don’t know who the admins are over here, but the guy to talk to would be Rob Thomas… Possibly there aren’t any active ones since the switch from Coalesent? In any case, I’d certainly volunteer my time to get this cleaned up, and I’m sure a few others would too.

Mr. Thomas… Thoughts, suggestions?
