[Amportal-users] FreePBX Zap Trunk config question

Mike,

Did you set context=from-zaptel in zapata.conf? By default, the zap channels come into from-pstn. The from-pstn context does not examine inbound routes for Zap channels. You must set this manually in your zapata.conf file for this route to work properly.

pointed them to a common ring group.  With this config I found that an
incoming call on the Zap (PSTN) line would get the "not in service"
answer.  To get around this I defined an additional "any DID / any CID"
incoming route and it all works as desired.

Why is the “any DID / any CID” route needed to make the Zap line work,
it just seems incorrect somehow.

Thanks Alex !

Your response gave me the confidence that it should work and I just
had to figure out the magic to make it work. I had tried both
from-zaptel and from-pstn. The trunk was defined for channel 1 with max
of 1 channels so I defined the incoming route for l channel only –
Zaptel channel 1-1. This was the problem as when I changed it simply to
channel 1 rather than the more explicit 1-1 and it works!

Now I’ve done away with the “any DID / any CID” incoming route and all
is fine.

Even if my fix didn’t get you going, at least it proded you in the right direction.

Glad to help!

I have the same context, more or less. I have one PSTN and a old PBX connected to my Sangoma Card A102.

In my zapata.conf, i put the context pointed to “from-zaptel”, but whatever i do i have the same result:

When someone calls to me extensions, i have this:

– Starting simple switch on ‘Zap/1-1’
– Executing NoOp(“Zap/1-1”, "Entering from-zaptel with DID == ") in new stack
– Executing Ringing(“Zap/1-1”, “”) in new stack
– Executing Set(“Zap/1-1”, “DID=s”) in new stack
– Executing NoOp(“Zap/1-1”, “DID is now s”) in new stack
– Executing GotoIf(“Zap/1-1”, “1?zapok:notzap”) in new stack
– Goto (from-zaptel,s,Cool
– Executing NoOp(“Zap/1-1”, “Is a Zaptel Channel”) in new stack
– Executing Set(“Zap/1-1”, “CHAN=1-1”) in new stack
– Executing Set(“Zap/1-1”, “CHAN=1”) in new stack
– Executing Macro(“Zap/1-1”, “from-zaptel-1|s|1”) in new stack
– Executing NoOp(“Zap/1-1”, “Returned from Macro from-zaptel-1”) in new stack
– Executing Goto(“Zap/1-1”, “from-pstn|s|1”) in new stack
– Goto (from-pstn,s,1)
– Hungup ‘Zap/1-1’
– Starting simple switch on ‘Zap/1-1’
– Executing NoOp(“Zap/1-1”, "Entering from-zaptel with DID == ") in new stack
– Executing Ringing(“Zap/1-1”, “”) in new stack
– Executing Set(“Zap/1-1”, “DID=s”) in new stack
– Executing NoOp(“Zap/1-1”, “DID is now s”) in new stack
– Executing GotoIf(“Zap/1-1”, “1?zapok:notzap”) in new stack
– Goto (from-zaptel,s,Cool
– Executing NoOp(“Zap/1-1”, “Is a Zaptel Channel”) in new stack
– Executing Set(“Zap/1-1”, “CHAN=1-1”) in new stack
– Executing Set(“Zap/1-1”, “CHAN=1”) in new stack
– Executing Macro(“Zap/1-1”, “from-zaptel-1|s|1”) in new stack
– Executing NoOp(“Zap/1-1”, “Returned from Macro from-zaptel-1”) in new stack
– Executing Goto(“Zap/1-1”, “from-pstn|s|1”) in new stack
– Goto (from-pstn,s,1)
– Hungup ‘Zap/1-1’

In freepbx how can i configure the zaptel channel in inbound routes? If someone calls me i want it to pass to the analog extensions. Freepbx can do this? If i put on “catch all” i can forward the calls to one sip extension, and this works fine, but i dont want that.

Thx. Best regards.
