I have an AAH 2.8 system that I had been using 2.1Beta on. Upraded to 2.1 just fine. I had added the config edit, system info and status modules. So, I wonder if the Edit Configuration, etc modules are part of 2.1?
I am still missing (on purpose I suspect) phpmyadmin.
The problem I had with MYSQL may not have had any thing to do with AMP to freepbx
[nativecode=Can’t connect to local MySQL server through socket ‘/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock’ (111)] ** mysql://usernamehere:passwordhere@localhost/asterisk
This error was popping up all over after updated with yum and a reboot…
rem out the base dir in my.cnf and MYSQL started fine…
going to give the upgrade a shot once…
Well that was painless…now comes the Voice Pulse plugin
I have done the following installs with any real issues
(Time to hit the ole Donation Button once more)
1.) AAH 2.8 nothing to it BAM done works fine…
2.) Old version of AMP (not a AAH install) on centos 4.3
Had small problem on reboot with MYSQL…maybe nothing to do with FREEPBX…bad update to MYSQL I think… anyway quick fix was rem out the dir under my.cnf, but I did uninstall reinstall of MYSQL jus cuz…all looks fine
3.) Took a Centos 4.3 / asterisk 1.2.x and did a clean install of FreePBX 2.1.0
worked right 1 st. time.
and the dead air time is reduced greatly the agi stuff is flying by now…
Man the added modules make your head spin…
so much for a simple little asterisk server sitting on node doing a little of nothing…
Looks like we are missing the boat if we do not spend a little time with this GUI…it has many of the features we find only in top dollar PBX systems…but in a cleaner interface.

I am getting this exact same error. But putting a # infront of the base dir setting in my.cnf did not allow mysql to run. If you have any other helps or ideas please reply.
