I would not have the extension in freepbx at all – just in custom.
Take the lines in the additional file and copy them to custom and then
delete it out of the gui and you should be fine.

Hi,
I use FreePBX to setup all of my extensions. However, there are two
that I would like to customize how they ring or what it does before it
rings. However, in order to get this to work it seems I have to
comment out the lines in the extentions_additional and then put it in
extensions_custom, which works fine until I change something in
FreePBX.Is there any easy way to make a change to something already existing
in FreePBX? Or for that matter, some how that I can just override
what is in the _Additional file?
