[Amportal-users] Changing the default behavior when an exten

Add the module “Call Waiting” and then go under general settings and it will
appear as 70 and 71 by default. Some phones will intercept the * and use
it for internal stuff so you may have to do like I do for my Grandstream
GXP-2000’s and change it to 70
and 71
(under General Settings).

When an local extension is busy, and it has other incoming
call, that
call is sent to the user’s voicemail. I would like to change that,
sending the call to a queue, telling to the caller “that
extension is
busy, you can wait or press 1 to leave a message”.

Simpler problem… My sip phones (Linksys 941) will take more
than one call
at a time, but the system sends all second calls to voicemail.

How can I get the system to ring the second call into the
phone and let it
“call wait” then go to voicemail if it times out.

Do I then have to turn it on for each extension?

Yes, you have to go to each phone and dial it. If you have more than one
account on each phone you will need to dial it for each account too.
